Detailed Summary

In My Commander, we are introduced to a group of matriarchs from the founding families who are concerned about their sons not finding mates. They seek out the witch Elder to help them scry and discover that their sons' mates are actually out in the world and are human. Fearing for their sons' future, the matriarchs decide to take matters into their own hands.

They gather all the warriors together under the guise of a fake award ceremony, and the witch Elder casts a spell to bring the men's mates to them, whether they want it or not. Aiden, who is adamant about not needing a mate, is shocked when he meets Meryn Evans and realizes she is his destined mate. However, their initial interaction is far from smooth as Meryn kicks, screams, and even knocks Aiden unconscious.

Despite their rocky start, Aiden and Meryn soon realize that they are meant to be together. Life before each other was good, but life afterwards is perfect, even if it involves super soaker battles and accidental grenade discharges.
